Chevelon Butte School District

The Chevelon Butte School District #5 is an Elementary school district.  It is the Governing Board’s decision to bus students to neighboring districts for their education.  The Forest Lakes students attend Heber USD and the Blue Ridge students attend Pine ESD and Payson USD.    The district phone number is 928-535-4729 for other information or with questions.

Codes, Covenants, and Restrictions (CC&R's).

Forest Lakes is divided into a number of "Units". Each unit has a separate set of Codes, Covenants, and Restrictions (CC&R's).
The Owners Association does not enforce the CC&R's or monitor compliance.

Fire District

Emergency Dial 911 
Fire District Office: 928-535-4644 (Non-Emergency)
The fire district is operated by a Fire Chief.  Paid staff provides 24 hour, 7 days a week fire protection and emergency medical assistance to the residents and visitors of the Forest Lakes area.  More information can be found on their website at www.flfdaz.com.

Fire Department Auxiliary:
The Forest Lakes Fire Department Auxiliary assists the fire department's pecial projects through fund raising events.
(There is no website for the Fire Auxiliary at this time)

Forest Service

Forest Lakes is contained within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, (928) 535-4481.
Below the Rim is the Tonto National Forest, (928) 474-7900

The Forest Lakes Neighborhood Watch works by neighbors getting to know each other and working together in a program of mutual assistance.

Water Department

The Forest Lakes Domestic Water Improvement District was created to provide water to the residents of Forest Lakes.

The area that is now Forest Lakes began as mining claims filed by Reed Denison in the late 1939 and early 1940 era.  Reed Denison was the brother of Alvis Denison who initiated the present settlement of the area with Bill Wheeler Denison and Bob Williams.
